Daily Devotion – What do you seek? 🎤

John 1: 36-39

After Jesus was baptized by John, He asked his followers this question. “What do you seek?” They answered, “where do you dwell?” Jesus replied, “COME and SEE.” Andrew tells his brother Simon, “We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted the Christ.”

Everyone is searching for something. I believe Jesus asked us this same question, “What do you seek?”…We attend church services, Bible studies, small groups and religious programs, but my question for us today, “What are you seeking” Do you seek to know the place where Jesus dwells? As the disciples sought to know His dwelling place, Jesus says, “come and see” When you seek His dwelling, do you long to see? And in your seeking, have you found the Messiah, who is the Christ? Simon encountered Jesus, and Jesus changed his name to Cephas, which is by interpretation; A stone. The following day, Jesus finds Philip and says, “Follow me” Philip finds Nathanael, and says, “we have found Him, the One, of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write of Nazareth. Nathanael said, “can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?”…Philip says, “COME and SEE!” After Nathanael’s encounter with Jesus, He says, “Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel”… Jesus said, “you believe because I said I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things then these.” Jesus said unto them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man… amen, and amen!

Today; are you seeking the place Jesus dwells? Have you found the Messiah? If so, are you following Him? Have you received the revelation; Jesus is the Son of God, the King of Israel? I say, “COME and SEE greater things! COME and SEE heaven open! Amen!
