“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
He did make you special as it states in the verse and gave you purpose in advance. But He also gave you free will to which you can use to make your own choices for the direction of your life. He wants you to choose Him and His direction that He has for you, but the choice is inevitably yours to make. Using your own free will to choose to follow God’s path is what will truly make your special in His eyes. He longs to be your God and wants to call you, His children.
By providing you the free will to choose, when you chose correctly, even through the doubt you might be feeling, that indeed will prove you are special in the eyes of the most high. If you are struggling, understand this. God does not make mistakes. He might want you to commit to Him and maybe in some cases, prove to Him that you are serious but in that same thought, you will be getting the greatest gift possible. A relationship with God.
