Daily Devotion – God’s Word The Bible

God has provided humanity with His revelation (2 Timothy 3:16-17), written through men divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21). God’s Word is entirely true, without error (Psalm 19:7-8) and speaks on faith and life with complete authority (1 Thessalonians 2:13). The Bible is instructive, teaching God’s law (Joshua 1:8) and helping His people grow into the righteous likeness of Jesus (John 17:16-18).

Whether you are already a Christian or you are still on your journey, the Bible is the complete book of knowledge that will guide you on your quest for truth. From the stories that have been captured in the old testament to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ in the new testament, the scripture can help you through some of your more challenging times by applying the writing to everyday life situations. The writings in the Bible are the foundation of many different religions and are sacred. Throughout its pages, the Bible teaches that God “Yahweh” never stops loving His children.

There are sixty six books in the Bible which comprise many different topics such as Godly law, poetry praising God, prophecy foretelling the coming of Jesus, revelations which tells of the second coming of Jesus, and many different teaching and inspirational letters from authors who are planting the Church’s throughout the Mediterranean in the times after Jesus.

You can read it from cover to cover or you can use todays technology to view many different Bible apps online to search for topics that you might need in your life at that time such as trust, jealousy, anger, hate, love, faith, and many others.

Many Christians read some part of the Bible every day and many can do complete Bible journeys through self study or in a group setting.

If you are still on your journey to Christianity, there is something in the Holy Scripture for you. When in doubt what to read, thumb through and stop randomly and pick a verse or two on the page you land on and read it. Then read the entire chapter so you can take in the entire context.
The important thing, never stop reading and learning God’s word.
